Neighborhood
Children's Program
Stewpot's
Neighborhood Children's Program provides an atmosphere of love
and second chances for all the children who pass through our doors.
We offer both an after-school program and a summer camp for elementary,
junior high and high school students. Throughout the year, over
200 children and young people are given educational help, self-esteem
building, positive role models and good, wholesome fun.
Facts
- Sixty
children (ages 4 to 12) and 50 teens are involved in the Neighborhood
Children's Program.
- The
program focuses on providing a safe place for these children
to go after school. It also provides homework help, encouragement,
structure and recreation in a loving environment.
- Stewpot
staff pick up the children and teens from school, take them
to Stewpot for the after-school program and then drive them
to their homes.
- In
2003, more than 300 children participated in the summer camp
and school year ministries offered by Stewpot's Neighborhood
Children's Program.
