What an event! Blue Cross Blue Shield Taste of Mississippi 2015 filled Highland Village with an estimated 1,500 people Monday night. Congratulations to our winners: Holy Smokers of St. Andrews (Jackson) took best entrée with redfish and dill sauce; Lou’s Full-Serv (Jackson) won Best Appetizer with shrimp escabeche; Crazy Cat Bakers (Jackson) took Best Dessert with bread pudding and brandy sauce; and Walnut Hills/The Nogales House (Vicksburg) won the prize for Best Presentation! Community support for Stewpot, at the 28th annual Taste of Mississippi event fundraiser, was amazing. Thank you to each restaurant and beverage distributor who showed support by participating. Thank you, also, to our fabulous entertainment, Hunter Gibson and the Gators and Pryor Graeber and the Tombstones. The Silent Auction was a huge success due to generous donors and enthusiastic bidders. You’re all wonderful. Thank you in particular to all our sponsors.
