Stewpot’s Impact in 2024

59,526 meals were served in the Community Kitchen. A noontime meal was served seven days a week, 365 days a year.

145 women and children sought emergency shelter at Matt’s House. The average length of stay was 28 days.

On average, 662 individuals (representing 316 households) received groceries from the Food Pantry each month.

Outreach Workers provided assistance to 126 unhoused individuals and 35 unhoused families, connecting them to resources such as emergency shelter, housing assistance, and case management.

38 children and 34 teens received after-school homework assistance. 22 middle school and high school students participated in individual or group therapy.

1,356 Holiday Food Baskets were distributed to families in need, ensuring they had a warm holiday meal.

528 men received emergency shelter at the Billy Brumfield Men’s Shelter and 42 men were enrolled in Brumfield’s Transitional Program.

An average of 350 men and women frequented the Clothing Closet each month, totaling 4,205 visits to receive clothing.

An average of 238 individuals visited the Opportunity Center each month. 1,220 loads of laundry were completed and 2,791 showers were taken.

43 individuals received temporary emergency shelter and 39 individuals secured permanent housing through Stewpot’s Housing Assistance Program.

40 families with children received temporary emergency shelter and 26 families with children secured permanent housing through the Bezos Day 1 Family Fund.

19 volunteer attorneys gave legal counsel to 70 individuals who visited Stewpot’s Legal Clinic.
