Homelessness is not confined to the inner city of Jackson, and not all people experiencing homelessness want to come to Stewpot. Our Outreach team meets people experiencing homelessness where they are - on the streets, in abandoned buildings, in encampments, under bridges - and befriends them. Outreach Workers offer physical assistance - hygiene items, snack bags, blankets, bottled water, etc. - and connect people to resources like shelter, housing, addiction recovery programs, and health care as they express need.
